2022年6月7日，内阁批准了司法部提出的《民事合伙法草案》(“CPA”)。起草的CPA允许同性个人登记他们的民事伴侣关系，他们将被承认为民事伴侣。可以登记民事伴侣关系的夫妇必须年满17岁，其中一方必须是泰国公民。
CPA草案承认并规定已登记的民事伴侣享有与《民商法》规定的已婚异性恋伴侣相同的权利。这些权利包括:
1、家庭共同生活及互相支持的权利;
2、在刑事案件中代表被害人伴侣行事的权利；
3、共同管理资产的权利；
4、共同收养子女的权利;
5、作为已故合伙人法定继承人的继承权；以及
6、有权寻求法院命令，宣布合伙人不称职或准不称职的权利。
2022年6月15日，众议院在初读时原则上接受了CPA草案，目前正由众议院任命的工作委员会进行审查。
